Putting Your Needs First with Client-Centered Care
About Us
Two brothers who have had great experiences in healthcare and business have joined forces to create a meaningful impact on the lives of others. We are passionate about providing services that benefit the community, as we understand the demands and pressures involved in caring for loved ones.
Our Story
As our parents aged, they faced increasing difficulties in managing household duties such as gardening, house cleaning, meal preparation, shopping, and attending medical appointments. Furthermore, due to their medical conditions, they were unable to drive. To address these challenges, we went through a cumbersome process, involving paperwork and multiple ACAT assessments, to secure a Home Package through My Aged Care. This allowed for some services to be provided to our parents. However, finding reliable and experienced carers to assist with their various needs became another significant challenge.
It was crucial for us to find carers we could trust, especially considering our father's early-stage dementia. The constant turnover of carers, coupled with the need for frequent communication with the parents' case managers, added to our parents' agitation. Every week, they had to explain their specific requirements to new carers.
Additionally, managing the budget became a concern, as the fees deducted from the Home Package left insufficient funds for all the necessary services. We realized that we should have researched and compared different Home Care Providers to find one with reasonable administration costs.
After our father passed away, we devoted ourselves to helping our mother and others in need of assistance at home. Through volunteering and working with various Home Care providers, we gained valuable experience in dealing with Home Care Package providers and support workers. This led us to establish our own company, Care Architects Australia, with a mission to serve and support the aging community.
